So let me preface this with I really don't care for books written in the first person. I am so glad I made an exception for this one! Jude and Ryan were wonderful characters. Poppy Jude has a problem, her best guy friend is getting married and his fiancée is certain that Jude is in love with him (a lá Julia Roberts). She's not, but in order to keep the peace invents a boyfriend to bring a long. She pulls the name of the handsome older brother of a former school mate out of the air and says he'll be her date. Problem is... well she's never met him and hasn't seen his sister in over 10 years. Flash forward a few months and Jude accidentally meets Ryan Fabregé-Corvera in a hotel lobby while she is at work, which on its own would be o.k. the problem is that Jude's mum is there and overhears his name and immediately introduces herself, telling Ryan she can't wait to see him at the wedding. So, the plot is set... how does a tour guide/PhD candidate ask a reclusive guy who is apparently a billionaire, to fake being her boyfriend for her best guy friend's wedding... You'll have to read on and laugh like I did!
This was a free download so I'm always wondering if the book would have been as enjoyable as a purchase, and the answer is absolutely yes!
O.K. so its the lifestyles of the rich and famous here, but Jude isn't exactly a fish out of water. She is not from money, but she knows to conduct herself among the jet set. Ryan is a billionaire but he has a deep set feeling of being responsible for everything. He works hard out of a sense of family loyalty but pushes aside his own dreams and passions until the day he sees Jude. He remembers the cute blonde his sister went to school with and is actually eager to get to know her.
Their road to HEA is not clear cut, but it's as believable as this plot will let it be. Jude doesn't sacrifice herself on the altar of love and Ryan doesn't either.
The supporting characters were great and I am looking forward to Laetitia's story!
If you are looking for a witty, well written, slightly snarky heroine with her own hangups then definitely buy this book! I'm glad I read it and it will be on my "read me again" list in my Kindle library!

If you like some giggles with your romance, this book is definitely a must read! Well-written, with great characters, it was hysterically funny. Romantic, with a swoon-worthy Hero, I loved that no one took themselves too seriously. I highly recommend this book.
5-stars indicates that I plan to buy her other books and this is certainly one of them. The book was certainly a humorous romantic novel with some very thought provoking moments. And it was nice to see that both main characters were smart and sexy. Having a European twist to it also added to my enjoyment. Well done Dasha and I hope you published some other books for me to enjoy.
Wasn't sure I would enjoy this book. Read a free sample, liked it, thought for 99 cents why not. Glad I brought it. Only took a few hours (about 4) to read. Like many readers, I don't care for books written in the 1st person, but I really liked this book
The cover threw me off. Not very steamy. The telling of the story in the first person took a minute to get into. The sex scenes...well the were ok. Not too, too detailed or graphic as many romance novels are. But this was a well written, novel approach. I liked it. I really liked it. Sweet. Quick read. It was also real. They did not fall in love right away...took a few weeks. Female lead was smart. I would recommend you try this one.
Even though the plot holds no surprises (for this type of storyline), this book was a good read. I really enjoyed the characters and the British wit. It made me laugh, out loud, and even ended up with tears streaming down my cheeks - both from being sad, and from being happy!

You can read this one and not feel cheated, even with a typical 'average girl meets very rich man - they fall in love, with pitfalls' plot.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were reasonably believable, the writing was good and the dialogue was witty. The circumstances where they hooked up was also unique--but again, because of the connection when Jude was in school it was plausible. Didn't expect to read it all in one sitting but I couldn't put it down. The nookie got a bit much but its OK because I can skip what I didn't want to read. There were some spelling and a few grammatical errors but nothing to make me quit reading. This was a cute story and I will look for more from this author.
So far in 2014, this is the funniest book that I've read. I laughed so hard my giant chewy sweettart flew out of my mouth to stick to my kindle screen!
Seriously hilarious inner thoughts of Poppy Jude and her even better conversations with her crazy friends, family and soon to be new boyfriend. Loved this book and would recommend it to anyone that needs a laugh on a depressing winter day because wouldn't everyone want to be cruising around the Med with a hot rich lover?!
You may need to seek professional help if you don't laugh while reading this story because there must be something wrong. This is seriously good.
